WHATEVER YOU NEED...I'VE GOT IT!!!

WHATEVER YOU NEED...IVE GOT IT!!!! That got your attention, didn't it? Everyone needs something and everyone is searching to have that need met. In Acts 3 a beggar sat out in front of the Temple. According to the entire story it seems he had spent many years (maybe 30 or more) hanging out at " church" and when he didn't get what he needed most he resorted to a meagerly existence as a panhandler. The world today is full of spiritual panhandlers. But who's fault, was it? His? The Priests in the Temple? People daily going in and out? Finger pointing galore here! Imagine this...one day a young crippled boy crawled (literally) out of bed and made his way to the one place he thought he could find what he needed. Stories were told of this grand Temple where the God of Israel had once manifested Himself years ago. But the Glory was gone. The power, the promises, the purposes that many once found here had dwindled into a manmade traditional waste of everyone's time! Daily people's eyes averted the glowing brokenness the same way we pass beggars on the street today. (We avoid beggars because we can't fix their problems and we can only give away so much of what we have) And so he sat. Wasting away. Until one day, 2 men who had abandoned the ways of powerless man made religion and had experienced a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ showed up and said " IVE GOT WHAT YOU NEED!" And gave it to him. They HEALED him! They gave him what he needed and wanted most!!!

Much could be said here. But here's the main thing. Churches, be responsible for being a Spiritual Temple that offers a genuine Encounter with God not empty promises. Spiritual beggars (we all are in a sense. We all need SOMETHING desperately) don’t give up, keep believing God will finish what He started in you. And Temple visitors (that’s all us church folks) remember that what this world desperately needs are genuine Disciples of Christ. So be Peter and John today, be empowered by your walk with Jesus and your encounter with the Holy Spirit, hit the streets and BE THE ANSWER THE WORLD IS SEARCHING FOR!!! Give them Jesus!!!
